EDMTunes spotlighted Summer’s Last Dance as one of Chicago’s acclaimed independent and philanthropic festivals following its Phase One lineup reveal for 2026. The announcement is led by Big Gigantic, Saxsquatch, Henry Fong, and The Sponges, with the September 19 event in Bridgeview described as an intimate, community-driven alternative to larger, corporate-backed festivals.
The piece traced the festival’s charitable roots back to founder Bobby De Maria’s family, noting that his company, Afterlife Entertainment, has helped raise more than $100,000 for organizations including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Hope For The Day, and the Miracle Michael Fund, work he now carries out alongside his father, longtime Chicago sports and nonprofit executive Jim De Maria. This year’s edition again supports the Miracle Michael Fund, which aids families affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta, across three stages, more than 20 artists, and 12 hours of music.
